Skin Cell Biology Lab

Have you ever wondered how humans thrive on Earth without becoming dehydrated? How do we maintain our health despite being exposed to trillions of germs every moment? What keeps our body temperature stable, regardless of environmental changes? How do we perceive sensations like touch? How does our skin possess the remarkable ability to heal after injuries and accidents? We aim to answer these intriguing questions by exploring the mysteries of skin cells and their organelles.

“Cell Community : The unfit members are eliminated by healthy cells”

Research Areas We Focus On

Skin Barrier Biology

Regulation of Skin Immunity

Skin Regeneration and Healing

Studying the molecular mechanisms of skin barrier formation, detailing molecular pathways and intracellular organelles involved.

We will study the mechanisms of
skin immunity by studying intercellular communication, involving appropriate
disease models.

Using laboratory-generated disease models, we will study the role of intracellular organelles, immunity, and associated molecular pathways in skin regeneration.
